| Goldilocks I have a tale to tell about Goldilocks, With her yellow hair and frilly frocks How one day she left her neighbour hood, And found a cottage in the wood After knocking getting no reply, She entered in and there did spy Not one but three bowls of porridge, But at that time she had no knowledge Of the three grizzly bears, All of whom had their own chairs Too hard oh what delight, This little chair is just right One porridge was hot one too sweet , But this one tasted really neat Her tummy full and felling sleepy, She went up stairs and found it creepy Three beds were there for her to choose, which one was best to have a snooze Three bears arrived back at their home, The youngest one let out a groan He had no breakfast a broken chair, He went up stairs and found her there "I'll get her "shouted pop, She woke and ran and couldn't stop As far as we know she is still on the run, And pops still chasing her with a gun. DIAL Down at the end of the wooded lane stood a rusty phone box. Isolated since it arrived at the start of the century. A legend says it still echoes to the conversations Look at the spiders talking to each other across the cobwebs Simon Standerwick age 11 |
THE GIANT There's no such thing as giants, a lot of people say, But I find them hiding nearly everyday. I watch them when I am playing, and it isn't very hard, To find them latter on..... Because they leave behind a sparkly silver trail. Yes of course you've guessed it... It's a giant African Snail. Daniel Heat age 10 |

PAY PHONE Popping out to use the pay phone. A friend is waiting for the call. Let your fingers do the walking. Insert the coin..start talking. "Operator, I can't get through" Clumsy me, I mis dialed. Entering the numbers once again, I hear my friend on the other end. It's good to talk. Emma Williams age 11 |

GOLDILOCKS There once was a girl with yellow hair, Who liked to wonder here and there Goldilocks was the name, Pinching porridge was her game Three hungry bears out for a stroll, Left steaming porridge in a bowl Goldilocks smelled the porridge, This came to her knowledge She peeped her head round the door, Her eyes lit up with what she saw Three pots of porridge on the table, All the porridges had a label Big medium and small too lumpy too hot just right, A minute later the porridge was out of sight Goldilocks needed to sit, But she had trouble finding a chair to fit Knowing she had broke some chairs, She wondered up the stairs She found a bed nice and comfy, The others were to hard and lumpy Soon she was sleeping, Until she saw the bears peeping.
